Some drag strips are already open for example if you go down south like Florida and Georgia and many other states down south like I have mentioned before. Milan Michgan is the closest track to me and it is open April 14 which is a friday for test and tune. Test and tune is when you can take your car down the track and modify your car for example change your carbourator, different tire combonations, or what ever you would like to. In my opinon tracks should be open all year long except when its raning or snowing.
So when it is -25 degrees celcius out side if you want you can still drag race i know I would do that but most likely i would probabaly be the only fool out because every one would be in nice heated houses while i would be haveing fun practicing at getting better reaction times.
Hers how drag racing works, first you pull into what we call a burn out box is where you heat up your tires to get them warm and to clean off all the grass or stones. Then you would pull up to the tree or the lights. On the lights there is two smaller sets of yellow lights for when you are pre staged and when you are staged then you have three individual light that come down one at a time then its the green light. If you take off before the thrid yellow light you will redlight which mean you have been disqualified and your opponent will automacticly win.
