last and final blog

well today I am going to say my good byes and fairwells. I had alot of fun posting about my favorite thing to do. Drag racing is one of the most exciting sporting events out there. I have only been posting about mopar drag racing but there is a lot of event out there for the chevy and ford fans. The first friday of every month at milan dragway there are these guys that are really insane. They go 3.5 seconds in 1/8 of a mile on a 10 inch wide tires. I went to an event whete one guy took off and like 100 feet later his door flew off so he let off the gas and got back on it then another 100 feet later
sometging else went out of the car so he let off the gas then went on the gas agian and he still went 7.5 seconds in the quarter of a mile whichis really fast. But in order to go that fast you need alot of money. But if you have sponsers it's not to bad because they pay your entry fee and gas and like $50 000 for parts a year. Sponcers are a good thing to have if you want to go really fast unless if you have a couple million in the bank to pay your crew andgas and parst and entry which is average $75.

Columbus Ohio

My dad cares so much about me and my education that he is saying i can't go to columbus Ohio this weekend. So my dad leaves tomorrow afternoon and won't be back until sunday night I hope he has alot of fun because he is as excited if not more excided than I am. But thats ok I will go to the next one hopefully. The people that run the event are expecting alot of drag racers and I hope they recive alot of spectators and fellow drag racers. I want to go so badly but my dad won't let which sucks a lot.

Even though drag racing is fun and all but if the track does not look the best it takes a little bit out of drag racing. So the nice the track the better the weekend or day is. For example a desecnt track would be ST.Thomas because the burn out box has small pot holes and the track surfice is a little rough. But that track is a track you would go to just for fun. Then you wouls compare to Norwalk Ohio which is 50 acres of pavement and a beautiful track. Well thats all for this time I will tell you more next time bye.

hey there

Today I am not going to be as specific as i usually I am but i am going to show you guys the worst drag racing crashes of all time, this is just a 8.5 second car that this happened to. I don't know exactly what happened to the car in order for this deadly crash. In my opinion i think when he pulled his parachute his left rear tire locked up and it dragged him to the wall and it car is/was destroyed. It's just a matter of seconds you could be saying I think this is the best past I have ever made then your car goes to the wall in a split second and the best thing to do if and when your car starts to barrel roll, you take your arms an touch the opposite shoulder and hold it there.

In the second one he made if out alive. When he crashed he was traveling at a speed of 500 k/ph somewhere in Australia. In my opinion i thank all the safety preclusions they make before letting these guys go down the track. For example when they are building the chassis the have to be simultaneously welded. If one of the two welders finish even 1 second before the other they have to restart which sucks.

heyyy

Im so excited to go drag racing in may. It's been way too long, the last time i went was last september so like 7-8  months ago. Thats the bad thing about where I live and drag racing because you only get 4-months of drag racing that's why I would rather live in Naples Florida the race about 350 days a year because of holiday reasons like christmas and easter and days like that and other big holidays. Thats the only time that the track is closed. Which would be awsome, racing all year long that's every racing fans dream.

Although drag racing is fun and all but there id dome down falls about drag racing like accidents. Yes there has been some deaths from drag racing but there is so much protection and saftey equiptment for example 5 or 6 point harness, helmet, roll cage if you go fater than 11.50 secondes and before you can race there is specific people that examine your car before they let you go down the track and the faster you go te more things they check. If your car is NHRA (national hot rod assosiation) certifided they will check the thikness of your roll cage and the thikness of your welds and if you go over 150 m/ph u need a parashoot and a funny car cage.

drag racing and car shows

When ever I go in the event chrysler classic events which is sponserd by the mopar collector guid magazine.
They have car shows and not to be rude to the people who spend so much time and money on their car just to bring into a car show I think its stupid. If you are at the event I came to to go drag racing PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR SHOW CARS HERE. Maybe on another day when its an event just for car show fine go ahead but I can guarantee I will not be there because I go drag racing. I'm not into just walking around looking at cars that I would or that I will not be able to afford because they would want way too much for me. I could afford a decent looking car but not one of these cars that people put in the car show because they look better than when they came out of the factory.

Some cars that people restore from a rust bucket go for like a minimum of $ 15,000 and up to like $ 250,000 its insane the price that some people want for their car. For example from the factory a 1970 Plymouth duster 340 cubic inch and all the best options back in the 70's was a maximum of $ 5,000.

In my opinion some people are insane for what they want for their restored car.

Here is one of my own video I took of my friends last year

Hi. Here is one of my friends he is racing in his very beautiful 1966 yellow Plymouth valiant. This video was filmed by myself at Norwalk Raceway Park in Ohio on September 17th 2011. His name is Ray Costello. He used to have his own business called cap auto products. He was building his own tubular k frames and upper control arm and ball joints, then he sold his business to QA1 shocks.

When you go drag racing a lot like I do you have the pleasure of meeting some new people witch become your friends. Since I have been going drag racing mostly in the states I have met some people from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and some from Illinois.

My dad has been drag racing since he was 16 years old and he started at something like 18.5 secondes now he spent enough money to go 7 secondes quicker so 11.5 secondes to do a quater mile, so 1320 feet.
My dad has one first place a couple of times but it does not happen that often that you win. Also it is very hard to win at a event then the next event you go and win that event, but it is possible. Another one of my friends won grand bend windsor weekend one year then for the next two years won it again so three years in a row.

In my opinion drag racing is very challenging because you have to be alert at the begining for your reaction time, you want to take off when the light turn green from yellow not late because that just give your opponent a hole shot win because A) you took off too late or B) you red light.

Drag Racing Mopar fans

When I was 15 years old, my mom, my dad, acouple of friends and i where at ST.Thomas dragway and my dad let me drive my mom's 1971 panther pink dodge demon down the track. I went 15.42 seconds @ 88.75 m/ph which is 143 k/ph in 1320 feet which is the length of a quater mile.

These 3 cars above are my dad's and my mom's, the pink one is my moms, the purple and the bleu are my dad's. eventualy one day they will all be mine. the purpleand the pink one are street cars but you can drag race them and the bleu one is just made for drag racing but with a few easy steps we can make it back to a street car. By putting a back seat, seat belts gas tank (because right there is a what people call a fuel cell which is simmilar but fuel cells are aloty smaller) , street tires and thats about all it would need to get transfered back to a street car.

In my opinion street racing is better than drag racing because there is always different twist and turns at any point but to be safer and not have a chance to get put in  jail by the police because street racing is ilegal but drag racing you can go as fast as you would like if you have the money and the faster you go the more you are putting your life in danger and you don't have to get worrieyd about gettting chought  by the cops.
